The Benefit of Foreign Language
Many students kicked off National Hispanic Heritage Month on September 15th by celebrating the cultures, contributions and histories of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. At Good Shepherd, we are lucky enough to have Spanish Language & Culture class an integral part of our curriculum all school year. Many students in the state of Florida don’t have the opportunity to take a foreign language until High School, but studies show that learning a second language at a young age promotes listening skills, problem solving and critical thinking, all skills we are proud to impart to our students.
